🏡 The Basics

Fully renovated single-level manor home directly behind the historic Mizpah Chapel, on quiet, tree-lined North Market Street in historic "Little Washington." You have the entire house and free on-site parking to yourselves. The chapel next door occasionally hosts weddings and bible studies.

Quick facts: 3 bedrooms · 3 beds · 1.5 baths · sleeps up to 7. Chef's kitchen, in-home washer/dryer, central heat & air, fast Wi-Fi, and smart TVs. Relaxing porch overlooking the historic grounds, under a mile to the Pamlico River waterfront and downtown restaurants.

🛏️ Sleeping & Capacity

Bedroom 1: King. Bedroom 2: Queen. Bedroom 3: Queen. Living room: couch for extra lounging. Sleeps up to 7.

🔑 Check-In & Arrival

Check-in: 5:00 PM. The home is at 1114 North Market Street, directly behind the Mizpah Chapel — turn into the driveway next to the fountain.

Door code: the last four digits of the phone number used to book. To unlock, press the Schlage logo, enter your 4-digit code, then turn the handle. To lock from outside, close the door firmly and press the Schlage logo; from inside, turn the thumb turn.

Early check-in may be possible when there's no same-day turnover — just ask.

🅿️ Parking

Free on-site parking in the driveway next to the fountain, behind the chapel. Please don't block the chapel entrance or fountain area during events.

📶 Wi-Fi & TVs

Wi-Fi network: The Mizpah Collection (open — no password). Smart TVs throughout — log in with your own Netflix/Prime/etc. and please sign out at checkout.

❄️ Heating & Air Conditioning

Central heat & air on a single thermostat — set it to whatever's comfortable. Please keep exterior doors and windows closed while it runs, and set a reasonable temperature when you head out.

🍳 Kitchen

Full chef's kitchen with cookware, dishes, silverware, and utensils — please wash and return after use. Coffee maker provided (bring extra coffee/filters to be safe) and a built-in warming tray for entertaining.

🧺 Laundry, Linens & Supplies

Linens for all beds and towels for all baths, plus an in-home stackable washer & dryer. Toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) and a hair dryer are provided. At check-out, start a load of towels if you can — please don't strip the beds.

🗑️ Trash & Recycling

Pickup day: Thursday. Bag and seal all trash and place it in the provided bin. Set the bin at the curb Wednesday night or Thursday morning, and return it after pickup if you're still here.

🌅 Downtown & Waterfront

Right out the door: the Pamlico River waterfront boardwalk & Riverwalk (under a mile), historic downtown shops, antiques, and art galleries, the Turnage Theatre, and the North Carolina Estuarium — the world's first. Self-guided historic walking tours of the district are a lovely way to explore.

🍽️ Restaurant Recommendations

Downtown (walkable): The Hackney (farm-to-table + craft gin distillery in a restored bank), Bank Bistro & Bar, Grub Brothers Eatery (Southern + Cajun), Washington Crab & Pasta, and Ribeyes (steaks). Plus waterfront spots with live music, and coffee shops, bakeries & ice cream within a short stroll.

🎡 Things to Do

NC Estuarium & river tour boats, kayaking/paddling on the Tar–Pamlico, Goose Creek State Park (about 20 minutes) for hiking and cypress-swamp boardwalks, Historic Bath (about 20 minutes, NC's oldest town), and day trips to the Outer Banks and coast.

Grocery: Food Lion and Walmart Supercenter in Washington. Pharmacy: Walgreens / CVS in town. Urgent care / hospital: ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, Washington.

🐾 Pets

Approval required before bringing pets; a pet fee applies (shown on your booking platform). Please clean up after your pet and never leave pets unattended in the home.

🛟 Safety

Smoke & carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit are on site. For life-threatening emergencies call 911 first, then message us.

🚫 House Rules

Max 7 guests. No smoking indoors. No parties or events without prior approval. Quiet hours after 10:00 PM (please respect neighbors and the chapel grounds). Please treat the historic home and grounds with care.

👋 Check-Out (10:00 AM)

Load and start the dishwasher. Bag trash and place it in the bin (to the curb Wed night / Thu morning). Start a load of towels if you can — don't strip the beds. Return any moved furniture, set the thermostat to a reasonable temp, close windows, sign out of streaming accounts, lock all doors, and message us so the cleaning team can enter.

💵 Possible Extra Fees

Excessive cleaning, dirty dishes, or items left behind; unapproved late check-out; damaged or moved furniture not returned; unauthorized pets or guests over the limit.
